Not a good idea : Nether of those items are involved in weight loss. Reduce calories to reduce weight. Eat the right foods to lose weight. Water pills do no cause weight loss, only loss of water which will come back fast , but it also causes loss of electrolytes and minerals that is harmful to the patient especially when not needed.

Topiramate & weight: Topiramate (topamax) is often used to suppress binging or snacking. The new obesity medication Qsymia (phentermine and topiramate) is a combination of long acting topamax with Phentermine and is very effective. However, topamax can cause kidney stones so taking it with a diuretic (water pill) could be harmful. Water pills alone are not weight losers, and deplete your body of much needed minerals- sodium, potassium, magnesium.
