Sensitive filling: If its just sensitive and the bite is not the problem or another issue(ie; tooth recession etc..), than it can take days to months depending on how big the filling was. The tooth does have the ability to repair itself in certain situations (reversible pulpitis) ask your dentist to re-evaluate the bite and maybe take an x-ray if nes. Good luck!

Should Not Last: Dental sensitivity can happen in certain cases, but most of the time the dentist should be able to tell you there may be sensitivity at the time of treatment, and why. He/she should also tell you what may need to happen if "this" happens, or "that" happens. Meaning, you should not be left wondering. Go back, let the dentist know your issue, i'm sure they will get right on it for you! don't wait.
