I had a root canal treatment so how come i still have tooth sensitivity?

Depends: If a recent root canal, then the inflammation at the end of the root needs to heal over the next week. If long time ago root canal, then you may have an untreated canal or an infection from another source.

Depends: It is quite normal for a recently treated root canal tooth to be tender to percussion for a few days after the procedure. This is because the ligament holding the tooth to the bone is often inflamed post-procedure. Incomplete cleaning out of the canals can also sometimes lead to sensitivity. I.
