Tongue tied: Actually, using a laser will only increase your costs and not provide any technical advantage. This is easily solved with a local anesthetic and scissors. Or cautery. It is a 3 second operation after the anesthetic. See your local ENT doc.

Not much: You may have a little post op discomfort but that can be relieved by otc pan meds, the procedure itself is fairly simple. Using a laser may allow your doctor to complete the procedure without needing anesthetic.
