Yes: It is safe to remove it with laser but what is the diagnosis? What does the dentist think he or she is removing and why? If it is unusual bump sending it to pathology might not be a bad idea.

White bump: Benign oral lesions disappear on their own in 14 days or less. The question that should be asked is what caused the "white little bump." Most causes are benign, some are not. It may be prudent to do an excision biopsy of the lesion just to be sure.
