Could you tell me what happens to the mother during a miscarriage?

Mental anguish: The biggest issue is the mother's mental state. Physically, there is blood loss, some pain but with adequate nutrition / vitamin supplementation most recover well. But mentally she is a mess and needs a lot of support from the partner, family & friends.
