Stop a panic attack: By learning relaxation skills ahead of time. Biofeedback training can help you learn to manage your body's reactions. Find biofeedback professionals at www.Aapb.Org and www.Bcia.Org. You may not be able to stop an attack, but you may minimize it by not reacting to it with fear. Try to just observe it. Medication may also reduce the intensity of an attack. Find someone who treats anxiety.

CBT: Treatment of panic disorder and treatment of anxiety disorders in general achieves best results when combining cognitive therapy (cbt) and medication. You certainly can start with cognitive therapy and it does work in some people optimally without use of medication. So find a psychiatrist specializing in anxiety to make the diagnosis , then he/she can connect you with a cbt therapist .Good luck.
