A member asked:

I'm wondering why are there higher rates of depression with people who have a higher iq?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Theory: The popular theory is that people who have high iq's have a more accurate perception of the world and therefore see that the world as a depressing place. This does not mean that you have to be depressed if you have a high iq. When people with depression and high iq's get treatment, usually their lives get better and their iq's never go down.
