At least 5: You should work out more than you eat. If you work out at least 5 days a week for an hour at a time, and you don't eat a ton of food to make up for it, then you will for sure get more fit and probably lose some weight.

Weight and exercise: It is not necessarily the days but the intensity and length of time you work out relative to the number of calories you consume at each meal and total consumed daily. First you need a goal for ideal weight. Then a time goal to achieve the weight. Instead of weight you might consider a body fat goal. You can achieve faster weight loss utilizing high intensity activity with resistance exercise.
