Thyroid nodules: In some cases, taking thyroid hormone replacement therapy can shrink thyroid nodules. Sometimes, though, all we do with this treatment is keep the thyroid nodules from growing.

No: There is radioactive therapy for nodules that are hyperactive and secrete hormone or those that are cancerous. Most thyroid nodules are not of these types, and there is no need to shrink them.
