Family practice : CRP is a screening test for inflammation it doesn't tell you where or the cause. I would also have an ANA and RA done. It can check for rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune disorders. See your dr for further work up.

It could be : It could be an inflammatory arthritis like rheumatoid. However; things like smoking and obesity can elevate a crp. See your doctor for further evaluation.
