Autoimmune disease: Sounds like you have an underlying autoimmune disease such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis or a combination. The underlying disease seems to be maintained though can always cause some discomfort, without having a flare up, which is why your CRP is normal. You will need full work up for definitive diagnosis including xrays and further serology such as ccp, anti lipoproteins, ssa, ssb, etc.

Need Further Testing: CRP is very non-specific, and does not rule out all inflammatory joint diseases. You will need x-rays of the affect joints, and further follow up testing for positive ANA and rf. High platelete count can be still due to inflammatory response, or other etiology.
