Is it possible to pull muscle or strain your throat? have been checking it in mirror and now pain in throat when taking deep breath or swallowing that feels like muscle?

Opening your mouth for checking your throat should not cause those symptoms. Just thinking about how long you have to open your mouth during a dental procedure but your throat is still not affected. You likely have a sore throat which can cause those symptoms. Take 2 tablets of acetaminophen or ibuprofen as a trial, those symptoms should be subsided in 1-2 hours. Take care.
