What are the reasons for waiting to get a covid vaccine if you think you might be incubating covid?

The incubation period is the period when you are already infected with the Covid-19 virus but the symptoms haven't occurred yet. So, the vaccination isn't effective in that situation & you may not need the vaccine. However, the incubation period can't be confirmed practically even you have been exposed to an active case because there are many cases when very close contacts were not sick at all.
