A member asked:

What do i tell my 78 year old mother who's afraid to take the covid vaccine due to the possibility of vaccine injury?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Facts may/may not help. We understand that everyone will eventually get covid, most several times as neither the vaccine or prior infection gives long term immunity to new strains. The vaccines do appear to reduce intensity of illness in most. Side effects of the vaccine are likely a fraction of the effect of the disease, but there are no guarantees to any vaccine. Treatments are better now.
