My mother in law tested positive for covid today. my husband visited her the day before she was positive. he did the rapid test today but was negative . he is scheduled to get his 2nd vaccine shot on tuesday. can he still get it?

As long as he doesn’t test positive between now and then, he can still get it. If he tests positive for COVID, he would need to wait until his 10 day isolation period is over and he cannot be sick with COVID at the time of the vaccine. If he develops any symptoms of COVID like fever, body aches, headache, sudden loss of taste/smell, cough, shortness of breath then he needs another test. Good luck!

Agree with Dr. Ferranti. If PCR confirmation is done & remains negative & he remains asymptomatic he should still be able to receive COVID 19 vaccine. However, should he become symptomatic, it should hold off on vaccination.
