There are no medications of any kind that interfere in any way with any HIV test. That includes valtrex.

Ive been on 500 valtrex daily for years. I was exposed to hiv thru sex. Ive tested negative @4.5 mon 4th gen test, 6 mon antibody test, 9 months 4th gen test and 9.5 mon AB test. symptoms neuropathy, headache, white tongue. Valtrex affecting tests?

I tested positive for HSV1 oral an IGg of 38.60/no symptoms. I started Valtrex for 10 days. 1.5 months after getting off Valtrex, 90+ days post exposure, I test again and my results were negative(normal). Could Valtrex cause false negative? Retest?
Is an IGG HSV test conclusive at 16 weeks? I've taken episodic treatment valtrex for cold sores so I'm positive For HSV1 but was neg for HSV 2 at 16 weeks. Is that conclusive or would episodic (not suppressive treatment) valtrex affect my results?
