I tested positive for hsv1 oral an igg of 38.60/no symptoms. i started valtrex for 10 days. 1.5 months after getting off valtrex, 90+ days post exposure, i test again and my results were negative(normal). could valtrex cause false negative? retest?

More than half the adults have been infected with HSV1 and other than occasional cold sores, have no effects in otherwise healthy people. Unless you have extensive lesions, there is no need to treat HSV1. Wish you good health!
