A member asked:

If i have genital warts for 18 months could my wife who is vaccinated have a wart just now show up? she is vaccinated?

There are at least 4 separate genital wart strains of HPV and only material from 2 strains are included in the vaccines available for use. That would mean other strains could give rise to genital warts. If you have been shedding virus as an active wart case for 18 months of intimate exposure and she has not developed genital warts she is likely immune.

Assuming you are regularly sexually active with your wife, it would be unusual for warts to delayed so long, but it could happen.
