The"bump" may be a number of different things, including a draining abscess, a fibroma, or an exostosis. The only way to tell is to have a local dentist take a look.

An exam and x-ray should determine if you have a soft tissue lesion or a hard tissue lesion. An abscess would enlarge after a while if not treated, a bony bump could be normal growth, either way have it looked after and a possible biopsy may be needed.
