Gingival abscess: is the result of injury to, or infection of, the surface of the gum tissue. If left untreated an abscess can lead to serious infection. See a dentist for treatment.

See Dentist: No one can really tell you what's going on without examining you. You may have infected gum tissue subsequent to the traumatic scratch, or it could be from another cause. In any event, don't trust to Mother Nature to make this disappear on its own without consequence. Please see your Dentist for diagnosis and treatment to prevent the possibility of this becoming a more serious problem.
