A member asked:

Had grade b esophogitis, took ppi and pepcid for 3 months. came off and was fine for over a month. lately i started to have very mild symptoms daily. so mildly i hardly notice, im just hyper aware. what do i do? take pepcid? see if goes away?

Behavioral modifications including not reclining after meals, avoiding caffeine & nicotine, carbonated beverages and spicy foods can help most. For some where this is not realistic, a simple OTC dose of a PPI or other acid reducer may need to be their daily med when symptoms always recur.
