I bet you are right: I'm glad you've discovered this. Too many well-intentioned young people go on restrictive diets based on bad information. Your self-restriction may also have deprived you of other nutrients, including iodine and b12. Keep doing what you're doing and consider a cheap vitamin-and-mineral supplement. The rest of your health issues may also improve with your diet & some good exercise.
