A member asked:

Has the traditional diet of the eskimos, such as the inuit, been shown to increase the risk of any diseases? (e.g. some eskimo areas do not have much calcium available; local produce has almost no fibre sources; very high protein & high fat intake)?

It is interesting that for all the blubber they ate traditionally there does not seem to be an increase in heart disease until they move to a Western diet. My analysis is that you should feed your roots properly for what they have evolved for. But blubber is hard to find these days and if you can find it very expensive. So DASH.
