Prot/Cr, UPEP,.....: Cause of proteinuria in elderly individuals should be investigated & treatment directed at the cause. When the urine protein level is "30" & caused by microalbuminuria it should be repeated & the prognosis is better as compared to a "30" relating to nephrotic range proteinuria. Only after knowing the exact value & underlying medical conditions can a doctor determine if cure/prevention is possible.
