Proteinuria: There are many causes for having protein in the urine, and also different measures. Initially, you should speak with the physician who ordered the test. If it was a screening test, they may suggest a more accurate measurement. Finally, it should also be viewed in the context of baseline renal function, possible urinary tract infection, or other issues. Best to discuss all this with your physician
