No worries: A hemangioma in L1 is extremely common. I would mention that it is reasonable to recheck it if the hemangioma is atypical. Even thoguht hemangiomas are common they can lead to weakining of the bone. So if your mom has suddent increased pain - it could be a stress fracture- again uncommon. Hemangiomas of bone do not cause raised skin lesions.
