Persistent: proteinuria suggest other issues, most likely renal issues. You need an examination, a 24 hr urine analysis and ongoing lab studies of renal function as well as a renal ultrasound. I question why you are testing your own urine?: diabetes? hypertension, history of renal insufficiency? Get an appointment with a medical physician, preferably, a nephrologist.
