I wrote my urologist about what he believes is a tunica cyst, inquiring about monitoring and seriousness. instead of direct reply rep responded. she advised no monitoring but to return in 6 mo. how can i track growth w/o checks. this left me puzzled?

Since the urologist already examined you and made a firm diagnosis, I'd compromise and ask for a follow-up appointment in 3 months instead of 6 months. Explain that this will give you peace of mind.

When you saw the Urologist was the time to ask these questions. If it is a cyst of the tunica vaginalis in the scrotum then it is not serious and only follow up is needed- if there are no symptoms. Unfortunately that is how medicine has become now- impersonal. I think you will be OK
