More than ok...: Remember the fact: despite medical advance, all the care is still based on indirect evidence resulting from continual collection and analysis of available experience; there is no magic in medicine, if any, that is, to apply currently available knowledge, technology, skill, drug, common sense, and wisdom at reasonable time and way to reasonable patient. So, repeating us in a yr is more than okay.

Abnormal ultrasound: The description you provided sounds like a cyst. It is small (6 mm), and if not called a mass, likely benign in nature. To have more definitive answer, will need to see entire description or the images.
