Diverticulitis flare started last monday. no antibiotics, liquid diet 3 days. pain went away. started eating low residue diet sun night, tues night pain returned. should i be on antibiotics at this point? no fever only abdominal pain?

If you have significant associated tenderness and/or fever, I would recommend systemic antibiotic treatment which may be given orally or intravenously. I also would return to a full liquid diet. Don't hesitate to consult an abdominal surgeon if symptoms worsen.
