Symptoms: centered lower abdominal cramping that comes and goes for past 3 days. constant urge to have a bm. passing small amounts of stool 1-2 times a day(cups worth) and gas. hx of diverticulitis. on a liquid diet. what could be diagnosis?

It sounds like it could be IBS or irritable bowel syndrome. Could also be something else. You need to have a physical exam in the office and have your stools checked for blood. More history also needs to be obtained. Florida has excellent gastroenterologists and I would see one in the office to get a firm diagnosis and treatment.
