Little or no risk. Once HSV has been present for 2-3 months, the immune system prevents new infections with the same HSV type anywhere on the body. You will not auto inoculate your infection to a new body site. (You also are immune to new HSV1 infection from someone else.) Don't press your luck; try to avoid contacting your eyes when having a genital outbreak. But little risk if you forget.
