My 7 month old is really congested in his chest. he has coughing episodes where he coughs so hard he gags and makes it hard to breathe. no temperature and still has wet and dirty diapers. should i be worried?

A small child like this has a very small airway that can close with only a relatively small amount of inflammation. If your child is having difficulty breathing as you describe, the child needs to be seen and treated urgently. Going to an emergency room or urgent care is the best way to get this treated immediately. Good luck!
