Wife had lasik today, she was prescribed ofloxacin eye drops because she had a reaction to cipro as a child. should we be concerned? i wasn't there to ask the opth myself?

Both ofloxacin and ciprofloxacin are fluoroquinolone antibiotic so this eye drop should not be used if your wife is allergic to cipro. You should call the ophthalmologist and let him (her) know right away. Good luck.
