Ofloxacin: These drops should be prescribed for a bacterial infection of the eye. They can be associated with some eye pain upon application. Any antibiotic should be used as prescribed by the treating physician and not adjusted. This will best eliminate the infection. Symptomatic itching after the course of antibiotics is complete should be reevaluated by the doctor.
