I have tiny thyroid nodules only on the left well under 5mm. i also have a 5mm complex cyst within the thyroid cartlidge. where exactly is that? is any of this concerning for cancer or precancer?

The thyroid cartilage is your “adams apple “. What your describing does not sound cancerous or precancerous, but I think your prescribing care provider should review these findings with you.
