A member asked:

Ive had sleep paralysis twice in the last few weeks. havent been very stressed, normally sleep ok, dont have narcolepsy symptoms. after i fall back asleep im fine but what could be causing this to reoccur?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You don't mention how long symptoms last or whether you've been experiencing it on&off through the years or whether it's apt to occur upon falling asleep or after being asleep for sometime. Nevertheless, sleep paralysis is felt to be harmless. It won't cause breathing or cardiac problems. Some patients consult sleep specialists or neurologists or psychiatrists for evaluation & advice.
