A member asked:

I am hpv vaccinated years ago. does it protect me against oral hpv if my partner has warts? he has had them about 20 months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe. The first HPV vaccine did not include genital wart protection but another soon followed that covered 2 of the more prevalent strains. There are wart strains not included in the past or present HPV vaccines, so resistance from that early vaccine may or may not apply. That said, it is difficult to get oral HPV warts unless you have a compromised immune system.
