Are urine dipsticks accurate for bilirubin? i notice over this week a trace bilirubin on&off. i checked my hubbie & daughters urine& they had a trace as well & negative other times. is this a concern?had normal blood bilirubin & liver func 2 mons ago?

Urine dip sticks have been known to have false.positives&some clinicians dismiss them if they're entirely unexpected. However a large study showed that although a small percentage of those tested showed positive, 60% of these did have abnormal liver function tests in the preceding 2 weeks. However,since all 4 of you showed urine bilirubin, false positivity is almost a certainty. ??Check bloods tho
