Hopefully, you received a Covid vaccine. The Covid strains that are now causing illness are much less virulent than the original virus, meaning it does not make people as sick. Most people with a healthy immune system have relatively minor symptoms from Covid, no worse than you are describing. Taking acetaminophen or ibuprofen will help with your symptoms, which will likely last a few days.

At your age, the current strains of COVID-19 will most likely result in full and uneventful recovery for all of you. There are medications that could be employed (ask about Paxlovid, for example.)
