I have a lymphnode swollen at the front of my neck near thyroid area.i did a thyroid panel blood work, all normal.i'm going for a us soon. my canker sore is very painful on same side of swollen gland.how likely is the swelling an infection vs cancer?

There is an overwhelming chance your gland is from the canker sore and not from cancer. lymph node enlargements from ca of thyroid occur late in the disease and usually not at that age.. I would have waited for the canker to heal and hopefully then the node to resolve (a few weeks) before undergoing extensive thyroid testing
