3 days ago a student handed me a metal hair clip. i noticed on the back that there was a slight red haze on the clip possibly blood. not sure if cut myself, sanitized my hand right away anyway. can hiv transmit from objects. do i need to test for hiv?

HIV cannot be transmitted through above mentioned mechanism. Hand hygiene rules still apply as to risk for transmission for other bacteria including hepatitis A.
