My right big toe is ingrown and the area is swollen with some dried up blood around the site. can i use epsom salt soaks and antibiotic ointment to treat this or do i have to seek professional help?

Epsom salt hot water soaks and antibiotic ointment are a good place to start. If you see no change in the swelling over 24-48 hours and redness in the area worsens, you may need to consult a Dr for oral antibiotic treatment.

The quick answer is yes. However if you still present with a sharp nail edge still causing the infection. Recommend seeing a podiatrist for proper care and follow up if it becomes a chronic problem.
