Unisom gel caps contain Diphenhydramine (also known as benadryl) Normal dose is 25-50mg. Increased doses carry the risk of respiratory suppression and anticholinergic effects. This is seen typically above 300mg. Watch for: dizziness, confusion, low blood pressure, rapid heart rate and inability to urinate. Seek medical care if you experience any symptoms, and avoid large doses in the future.
