There is no single answer. Some doctors are unaware of the latest scientific data. Some still follow the recommendations that originated in the early AIDS days, when testing was less reliable than now. But there is nearly 100% agreement among true experts that negative HIV AgAb (4th generation) blood tests are 100% conclusive by 45 days (which often is rounded off to 6 weeks) after exposure.
