There are several types of HIV blood test, with differing times to conclusive results. Older antibody-only tests required up to 3 months. But the antigen-antibody (AgAb, "4th generation") blood tests, including Insti®, never take more than 45 days -- which can be rounded off to 6 weeks. No existing tests ever require more than 3 months.
