Treatment options-: The answer to that is best determined by the dentist after evaluating how much tooth is left, an analysis of your bite, reason for breaking and your long term expectations and goals. A new composite bonded filling, a porcelain laminate or an all porcelain crown are all likely treatment alternatives.

Depends: Different materials have different strengths. Simple bonding is less invasive and less expensive than a laminate, but may not last as long. Discuss with your dentist.

Depends: All restorations have a life span. Virtually none last forever. Dentists tend to do the least complex restoration first. If life span is inadequate, the next more complex restoration is considered. Can't recommend without actual examination. Go with your Dentist's advice as he/she knows your anatomic/physiologic situation best.
