SGLT 2 inhibitors (Sodium GLucose coTransporter-2 inhibitors) are mainly approved for type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, these inhibitors may benefit patients with cardiorenal syndrome without history of diabetes mellitus. By UPTODATE: in patients with HFrEF (EF less than 40%), sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors reduce the risk of cardiovascular and kidney outcomes. Good luck.
