Diagnosis: CKD stage 3 --- by definition should have GFR less than 30. Get a second opinion from different nephrologist about staging of your CKD

Big picture: Without a urinalysis or an estimate of how much protein is present in your urine, the information is incomplete. Further, the estimated GFR's that labs are expected to report today are far from scientific -- there's even an adjustment "because black people are more muscular." When I was lifting weights daily, my creatinine ran 1.6-1.8. Get with a nephrologist before concluding you're a kidney pt.
